Commenting changed

I have just changed the way comments are made on this site. Anonymous posters can leave comments, but they must supply some sort of email address. This is to stop spam. I am not interested in what the email address is, it can be not@anyprice.com for all I care, it is simply to make sure you are human. In addition, I have turned off the requirement to preview the comment because I have a feeling the CSS has gone wrong and the comment is impossible to see in the preview.

Trackbacks

Now I don't get many of them, but I was running trackbacks on this site, they are a nice way of letting other people know you have read their writing and what you think of them. Unfortunately, I have been getting so much trackback spam, I have had to disable the feature until I can come up with a better way of securing the site against it. Spammers, you suck.

MyMoko.co.uk

Ok, I'm so excited about this OpenMoko project that I've opened up a website devoted to it. I'm hoping to distribute/resell these things and really help spread the joy of open source software. I've been doing a bit of research and I reckon it could be a real success. Find it at www.mymoko.co.uk

Keep Chasing those Penalty Charges!

The recent case which Lloyds TSB won in the District Court in Birmingham should have absolutely no bearing on all of you people claiming your charges back from the banks. Read Inksmithy's blog for more details. Keep chasing them!

So, when are we invading Iran?

Here's an interesting question. George Dubya Bush and Tony Blair ordered the invasion of Iraq on the basis that they thought Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs).

Yesterday, Iran announced that it now had the capacity to enrich uranium in industrial quantities, which essentially is all you need to do in order to have the most important ingredient for a large nuclear weapon. Which gives Iran WMDs. So when are we invading Iran?

No more Bank Charges = No Free Banking

So the banks have now threatened to end free banking if penalty charges are outlawed. They are already unlawful, which while it isn't the same as illegal, is still a fair indication of 'Don't do that'.
What the banks are really saying is that they will screw their customers one way or another, so better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
Lovely attitude there, just lovely.

Anonymous Comments

Just to get the idea out there, you do NOT have to join muttering to comment on what you read. Just press the button, type the comment and away you go. The comment won't appear instantly because I am screening anonymous comments for spam. What I am not doing is screening comments for people who disagree with me. If you disagree, say so!
